DIGITAL SERVICES DIVISION
Transforming your story within the digital age
Village News, Inc. is transforming its print organization into a print and digital services company: Reeder Media Group. The news audience is growing. Over 179 million adults engaged with digital newspaper media in August 2015 (comScore research), further demonstrating the need and growing demand. Content is still king; it is only the format and delivery that is changing and evolving.
Successful transformation into a digital agency is expected to quadruple the company’s revenues to $6.0 million. The lowest margins will occur in the initial transformation stages, reflecting the costs of establishing infrastructure, acquiring and training staff.
The goal of this digital services division leverages our existing strengths in content creation – sourcing, researching, shaping stories and features – to provide sources of information for various platforms, initiatives and campaigns. That requires a significant change in distribution strategy into the digital world. This digital shift also means increased availability of data, the ability to derive patterns and insights, and opportunities to quickly adapt ideas and measure their impact. Data strategies can be a major point of differentiation and advantage. Monetization is no longer created solely by people connecting demand with supply, but using technology to connect supply and demand in real-time.
